TT plans to set up a new manufacturing facility at the existing Bosch location in Engels in Russia to produce industrial boilers and wall-mounted conventional boilers. Construction of the new plant is scheduled to begin in March of this year, with completion planned for the first quarter of 2014. Apart from the manufacture of boilers for industrial and commercial use with an output of 2.5 to 6.5 megawatts, wall-mounted conventional boilers with an output of 18 to 28 kilowatts for heating and domestic hot water production are also to be built in Engels. In addition, a department for the further modification of industrial boiler series is to be set up.
Bosch’s Automotive Aftermarket (AA), Gasoline Systems (GS) and Power Tools (PT) divisions have been based in Engels since 1996. Engels is in the European part of Russia, some 850 kilometres south of Moscow. The city, which stands on the Volga River, has around 200,000 inhabitants.
