What internationality means to us

The Bosch Group operates in a wide range of product areas and maintains a presence in most countries around the globe. Half of our total workforce is employed outside of Germany, while Bosch Group operations located outside of Germany now account for two-thirds of its revenues.

As a result of our worldwide operations, international cooperation in all fields of activity has gained significant importance. For this reason, we expect all employees of the Bosch Group to be receptive to other cultures, to learn from them, and to view cultural diversity as an enrichment.

The following pinciples are an integral part of the worldwide Bosch Human Resources policy. The implementation of these principles is the responsibility of all management personannal and Human Resource departments. Moreover, we coll on each employee to make a commitment guided by these goals.

The recognition and career opportunities of our employees are based on their personal and professional abilities and not nationality.

International experience acquierd working for the Bosch Group outside the respective home country is an important part of the development of our skilled professionals and management personnel as well as future managers. We also expect national managers, who are to assume senior management positions at our foreign subsidiaries and affiliates, to work for several years in a business unit of the Bosch Group in Germany. In the case of comperable qualifications, we will give preference to employees with international experience when filling management positions.

The international exchange of employees with in the Bosch Group applies worlwide and to all functional areas.

Is primary purpose is to develop skilled professinals and managment personnel with international experience, tranfer and exchange knowledge, promote worldwide understanding and cooperation within the Bosch Group, fill positions at locations where qualified local employees are not yet available.

In addition to their professional abilities, the qualification of employees for assignment abroad will be determined to a significant extent by their ability and willingness to adapt to local living and working conditions. For this reason we select andidates carefully and prepare them rigorously for their assignment. During their stay abroad they remain in contact with their home country and receive support upon their return.

Our presence in international markets require that our skilled professionals and management personnel be able to communicate in English. We expect employees based outside their home country to learn the language of the host country . We also encourage management personnal whose native language is not German to become proficient in German.

Our long them goal is to have multinational management in all areas of the Bosch Group. In any given country, nationals should make up the majority of managers.
