Oliver Koukal has been elected as board member of Bundesverband Wärmepumpe e. V. (BWP). The 48-year-old has worked for Robert Bosch GmbH since 1998. Having started in the trainee program for potential managers, Koukal initially worked for 14 years in the Power Tools division in Germany, Korea and Denmark before joining Bosch Thermotechnik in November 2012. There, he was in charge of sales in Western Europe for 5 years. For the last three years he has been Senior Vice President with worldwide responsibility for the Residential Heating division and thus also for the heat pump business.

The 500-member BWP association is a nationwide interest group for the German heat pump industry. It defines the use of heat pumps as a means of climate protection and the associated reduction of CO2 emissions: Bosch Thermotechnology also focuses on reducing climate-damaging CO2 emissions. Since 2020, the technical manufacturing and administrative facilities of Bosch Thermotechnology no longer leave a CO2 footprint. The company is also constantly working on further energy-efficient heating solutions to further reduce CO2 emissions.
