ETL scheme offers 100% first year tax savings for energy-efficient plant and machinery

Bosch Commercial & Industrial is pleased to announce that the GB162 V2 is now on the Energy Technology Product List.

The Energy Technology Product List (ETL) is part of the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) tax scheme for businesses. The scheme encourages businesses to invest in energy-saving plant or machinery.

By investing in ECA certified technologies, businesses are able to benefit from first year allowances enabling businesses to claim 100% of the cost of the assets against Corporation Tax in a single tax year.

All GB162 V2 outputs are live on the list, as well as a number of other Bosch Commercial & Industrial products.

How it Works

A business can take advantage of the scheme to receive a full tax refund on any purchased product that is included on the ETL.

The scheme can be claimed through a business’s income or corporation tax return in the same way as any other capital allowance. HM Revenue and Customs is responsible for the tax-related aspects of the ECA scheme.

“Given the importance of us all contributing to reducing climate change through energy efficient manufacturing, we are pleased to have not only one, but several products recognised,” says Tim Davies, Director at Bosch Commercial and Industrial. “At Bosch, we are committed to acting responsibly for the benefit of society and the environment.”

When can you take advantage of the scheme?

The scheme is now only available until April 2020. So, businesses that are in need of upgrading their heating and hot water systems are encouraged to take advantage of the ETL scheme and the certified products on the list before April 2020.
