The combustion of hydrogen (H2) is extremely environmentally friendly. Its combustion does not create CO2, but pure water. For all Bosch industrial boilers in the medium and large output range, we offer solutions for the use of up to 100% hydrogen. If the available hydrogen quantity fluctuates or is insufficient, hydrogen can be used complementary to e.g. natural gas in a multi-fuel burner for your process steam or hot water generation. We can also supply all conventional Bosch industrial boilers "H2-ready". This makes it easier for you to convert to hydrogen at a later date.
Industrial companies such as breweries often produce biogas from the recycling of organic waste. We can offer you all hot water and steam boilers from Bosch as biogas variants. We adapt the system exactly to the composition of your individual biogas to ensure high efficiency and minimum emissions. Since the amount of biogas produced does not always correlate with the heat demand, special burners with two or three fuels are also possible. In this way, the gas composition used can be dynamically adjusted according to the availability of the biogas quantity.
Boilers for bio-oil and other liquid fuels
Bio-oil and special fuels such as alcohol or fish oil accumulate as by-products in many areas of modern production. Their use as fuel for boiler plants reduces the amount of fossil fuels for thermal and process heat. At the same time, logistics and disposal costs can be avoided. We equip our hot water boilers and steam boilers individually for your specific fuel with special solutions, such as fuel preheating, automatic pneumatic cleaning of the combustion chamber and special burners to ensure minimised emissions.
Waste heat recovery boilers
Industrial production and decentralised power generation, for example with CHP units or turbines produces hot exhaust gases. Our waste heat boilers can convert the energy they contain into hot water or steam. This reduces the total energy demand. In addition to fully waste heat powered boilers, combined systems are also available for the simultaneous use of waste heat and firing capacity. These generate up to 15% of the maximum output of the boiler in an environmentally friendly way using waste heat. In partial load operation they even achieve more than 50% of the output by using waste heat.
The share of industrial companies and modern energy supply plants with regenerative power generation on site is increasing since many years. With our hybrid boilers, you can use surpluses of up to 5 MW per boiler for hot water or steam supply, thus reducing the purchase of fuels to a minimum. We can also design hybrid boilers in combination with bio-fuels as a CO2-neutral variant. The hybrid option is available for all Bosch boilers of the UT, UL and ZFR series.
